Safety

How we think about safety

This resource exists to inform, not to sell or to prescribe. These are the principles behind every recommendation the assessment makes.

Research & educational information only — not medical advice.

You must be 18 or older to use this site. The peptides described are presented as research chemicals intended for research purposes only. Most are not approved by the FDA for human use. Dosing ranges reflect what has appeared in the scientific literature or community protocols and are not prescriptions. Nothing here replaces evaluation by a licensed physician who knows your full medical history.

Our principles

A doctor first, always

Nothing here substitutes for a licensed physician who knows your full history. The assessment is a screening aid, not a clearance.

Evidence over enthusiasm

Every peptide carries an honest evidence grade. A compound with only mouse data is labelled as such, no matter how popular it is.

Your history gates everything

The assessment hard-blocks unsafe matches — GLP-1s against a medullary thyroid cancer history, angiogenic peptides during active cancer, and more.

Medications are part of the picture

Insulin plus a GLP-1, nitrates plus a vasoactive peptide — interactions are flagged before anything is recommended.

Purity is not guaranteed

Most compounds discussed are sold as research chemicals with no manufacturing oversight. Third-party testing matters.

One variable at a time

Introducing several peptides at once makes any reaction impossible to trace. Start single, space introductions out.

Stop and seek care if you notice

These warrant immediate medical attention

  • Severe, persistent abdominal pain radiating to the back (possible pancreatitis)
  • Signs of an allergic reaction: hives, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing
  • A prolonged or painful erection lasting over 4 hours (priapism)
  • New or changing moles, especially with melanocortin peptides
  • Symptoms of low blood sugar — shakiness, confusion, sweating — when combining with diabetes medication
  • Chest pain, palpitations, or fainting

The absolute contraindications

Some situations mean the assessment refuses to recommend anything at all and routes you straight to a clinician:

Active cancer

Many peptides influence growth-factor and angiogenesis pathways that intersect with tumour biology.

Pregnancy / breastfeeding

No peptide here has established safety in pregnancy. The answer is simply no.

Transplant recipient

Immune-modulating peptides can threaten graft survival and clash with immunosuppression.
