SLU-PP-332

ERR agonist

An experimental 'exercise mimetic' that activates estrogen-related receptors — animal data only.

Class

Estrogen-related receptor (ERR) agonist

Half-life

Not characterised in humans

Evidence

In-vitro / mechanistic

In-vitro / mechanistic

Cell-culture or mechanistic work only. No meaningful in-vivo human evidence exists.

Overview

SLU-PP-332 is a small molecule (not a peptide) that activates estrogen-related receptors (ERRα/β/γ), transcription factors central to mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative metabolism. It is one of the newer 'exercise in a bottle' candidates: in mice it increased endurance, energy expenditure, and fat oxidation without exercise.

The gap between that and human use is total — there are no human studies. ERRs also play roles in the heart, and chronically activating a master metabolic transcription factor has unknown long-term consequences in people. It is sold as a research chemical with no human dosing or safety basis.

How it works

  • Agonises ERRα/β/γ, driving mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative gene programs.
  • Increases fatty-acid oxidation and energy expenditure in muscle (in animal models).
  • Mimics some transcriptional effects of endurance exercise.

What the research shows

Researched effects

  • Increased running endurance and energy expenditure in mice
  • Reduced fat mass without changing food intake in animal models
  • No human efficacy or safety data

Limitations & what it won't do

  • No human studies of any kind.
  • ERR activation affects cardiac tissue; long-term human safety unknown.
  • Not a peptide; not FDA approved.

Dosing protocols

These ranges reflect published trials and community protocols. They are reference information, not a prescription. Doses are per injection unless noted.

RouteOral
CycleNot established

There is no human pharmacokinetic or safety data to anchor any dose. The honest guidance is that this is preclinical.

Administration

Not an injectable reconstitution compound

SLU-PP-332 is typically taken oral, so it doesn't use the vial-and-bacteriostatic-water reconstitution workflow. See the dosing protocols above for how it is taken.

Side effects

Common

  • Unknown — no human data

Serious / rare

  • Unknown — cardiac ERR activation is a theoretical concern

Contraindications & interactions

Do not use if you have

  • Pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive

No safety data of any kind.

  • Cardiovascular disease

ERR activation affects cardiac metabolism; avoid with cardiovascular disease pending human data.

Use caution if you have

  • Arrhythmia or palpitations

Cardiac transcriptional effects are uncharacterised in humans.

What to monitor

  • Realistic expectations — there is no human evidence
